How soon will I receive my birth announcement?
You will receive your announcement immediately after paying and have up to 90 days to download it onto your computer. After you download the announcement, it is yours forever.

What format will my announcement come in?
Your announcement will be presented as a downloadable JPG file. JPG files are easy to attach and send, and virtually any computer will be able to open them without any problems. It will be like any digital photo, so you can post it on Facebook if you'd like. The size of each announcement is 800 x 534 pixels.

I want to include more or different information than your templates will accommodate. Can I still order an announcement?
Yes. Email us at info@newbornnotes.com with the details of your announcement and we can personally create one for you using one of our designs. Please include your design of choice, your baby's name and statistics, the announcers' information, and your baby's photo. The cost of this service is $20.

Can I print out my emailable birth announcement?
Yes, each announcement can be printed out so that you have a tangible version to paste into your baby book. Please keep in mind that the quality of the printout will depend on your printer and paper.

I accidentally closed the page of my announcement after paying for it! How do I get it back?
A link to your announcement will be automatically emailed to you. It could take up to 24 hours for you to receive this email. You can use that link to retrieve your announcement on our site for up to 90 days. After 90 days, the link will no longer be active, so please make sure to download your announcement before then.

Can I also send this link to other people?
Yes, you can send this link to your friends and family if you'd rather they access the announcement that way. Just keep in mind that the link expires after 90 days.

Will strangers have access to this link?
Don’t worry about strangers being able to view the announcement – only the people who you tell about the page will be able to find it on the Internet. It will not be linked to the main NewbornNotes site in any way.

I paid for my announcement through Paypal. Now what?
You should have been automatically redirected back to NewbornNotes to view your downloadable announcement. If this did not happen, don't worry – an email is automatically being sent to the address you provided with a link to the announcement. If this email doesn't arrive after 24 hours, please check to see that your Paypal payment actually went through (you should have received a receipt in your email from Paypal). If there is still a problem, email us at info@newbornnotes.com and include your Paypal receipt number as reference. We will rectify the problem immediately.

Do you have a refund policy?
We do not provide refunds, unless there was an error on our end. It is up to you to make sure that everything on your announcement appears the way you want it to. Should you discover that you've made a mistake after your purchase, you will have to create and pay for a new nnouncement. If, however, the error occurred because of a technical glitch, please email us at info@newbornnotes.com and include your Paypal receipt. We will do our best to rectify the problem or provide you with a refund.

Do I need to have a Paypal account to pay for my order?
No. If you do have a Paypal account and would like to use it, you are welcome to do so. But you can also use a major credit card to make a payment through Paypal's website without signing up for an account.

What kind of photo is best for making into an announcement?
We recommend photos taken with a digital camera. Many camera phones do not take photos that are high enough in quality for our purposes. Please do not use low-quality, blurry, or poorly lit photos. We want to provide you with the best-looking announcement possible, but a lot will depend on your photograph.

How should I take the photo?
Keep in mind the orientation of the photo. If you’ve chosen a design with a space for a portrait-oriented (standing up) photo, you should use a portrait-oriented photo. If you’ve chosen a design with a landscape (lying down) photo, you should use a landscape-oriented photo. You can, however, try to work with whatever you have, even if it’s not oriented correctly. If it looks like things aren't working out, you can always choose another design.

I am having trouble getting my photo to fit the design of my choice. Also, I would like to perform more advanced editing on my photo. What should I do?
While we provide customers with the ability to zoom, rotate, and center their photos, more dvanced editing techniques such as cropping, red-eye reduction, and adjusting brightness and color are not yet available. We recommend that our customers adjust their photo on their own first, then upload the new version to NewbornNotes. Two free and user-friendly online photo editing sites that we recommend are Picnik and FotoFlexer.

Is it possible to have twins or triplets on one announcement?
Yes, we can personally customize an announcement for multiples. Click here for more information.

Do you provide any other type of announcement besides birth announcements?
At the moment, we only have birth announcements available. However, if you like our design style and would like us to personally create another type of announcement (e.g., bridal shower invitations, holiday cards) for you, please email us at info@newbornnotes.com, and we will be happy to work with you.

Can I give your service as a gift certificate?
Yes, we provide $10 gift certificates that can be emailed to either you or the recipient. You can also print it out. It makes a great baby shower gift! Click here for more information.

I ran into a technical problem while creating my announcement. How do I solve it?
First, try clearing your computer's cache; this should solve the majority of technical issues. If your problem is that you'd like to edit your photo more extensively than our site will allow, we recommend using a separate online photo editing site to alter your photo first. Two free and user-friendly sites that we recommend are Picnik and FotoFlexer. If these solutions do not address your issue, please email us at info@newbornnotes.com with a description of the problem. We will do our best to respond within 24 hours.

Why doesn't my browser work with your site?
You are likely using Internet Explorer 7 or 8, which are outdated versions of the browser. As a solution, you can download the latest version of Internet Explorer (if you are running Windows 7 or Vista), or another popular browser such as Chrome, Firefox, or Safari. You can also install a Google frame, which will make your version of Internet Explorer work with NewbornNotes.com. As a last resort, you can email your specifications for an announcement to info@newbornnotes.com, and we will create it for you and email it back. Please include your design of choice, your baby's name and statistics, the announcers' information, and your baby's photo. The cost of this service is $20.
